Sodexo And Connected Living Team Up To Connect America’s Seniors With Their Families, Friends And Communities Digitally
Sodexo and Connected Living team up to bring superior quality of life services, access to food and a connected life to the senior living industry as well as to seniors aging at home.
GAITHERSBURG, Md., October 28, 2016 /3BL Media/ - Sodexo, world leader in Quality of Life Services, today announces a partnership with Connected Living, the nation’s leading connector of seniors with family, friends and communities. This alliance, formally launched at the national annual conference of LeadingAge in Indianapolis, IN, creates a better way for all generations including America’s aging population to connect with each other and access goods and services.
Connected Living is a social impact company that pioneered bringing user friendly, private social networks and technology into senior living communities, demonstrating how better connections contribute to happier and healthier lives. The Connected Living suite provides an easier way for Senior Living community staff to engage with residents, families and prospects inside and outside the building.
Connected Living’s recently released mobile app enables family members of all ages to stay in touch easily and privately despite geographic distances and busy schedules. The app also provides relevant content, access to vital goods and services such as food and transportation and therefore enhanced “peace of mind.” The Connected Living mobile app is currently available for iOS devices and is coming on Android in 2017.
Sarah Hoit, CEO and Co-Founder of Connected Living, Inc, said: “We are excited to team up with Sodexo because they share our mission, values and goals of connecting and improving quality of life for families and transforming the experience of aging. We can absolutely make a larger impact together.” Connected Living just launched a campaign to ‘Connect One Million’ seniors and their families together with public and private partners including Sodexo. Hoit says, “being connected is a right not a privilege, and that is why we have created an app that is a free download accessible to everyone that will make a connected life a reality to so many on the other side of the digital divide.”
“With an unprecedented 15 percent of the total U.S. population over the age of 65 – more than 46 million Americans – ensuring a vital connected lifestyle for seniors is more important than ever. By combining Connected Living’s award winning technology solutions with Sodexo’s leading services, we can now offer operators of Senior Living communities the confidence that they are providing the best quality of life services for their families and residents,” said Joe Cuticelli, CEO of Seniors for Sodexo in North America.
As leaders in aging, including Sodexo and Connected Living, assemble in Indianapolis next week for the annual LeadingAge conference, LeadingAge and CAST also announce their support of the campaign to “Connect One Million” seniors and their families. “Connected Living’s app is yet another example of unleashing the power of technology for innovative development and finding new ways to connect families and encourage our seniors to cross the digital divide, “ says Majd Alwan, Senior Vice President of Technology and Executive Director, CAST.
