Sodexo-Managed Mess Hall Earns Top Prize in Annual W.P.T. Hill Memorial Awards for Foodservice Excellence
Sodexo’s operations at Mess Hall 227 at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune recognized for Best Full Food Service Mess Hall
GAITHERSBURG, Md., April 26, 2017 /3BL Media/- Sodexo, world leader in providing Quality of Life services, has been recognized for its work serving the United States Marine Corps through the annual W.P.T. Hill Memorial Awards for Foodservice Excellence. Mess Hall 227 at Marine Corps Camp Lejeune in North Carolina was selected as the winner of the Best Full Food Service Mess Hall category in the 2017 awards.
The W.P.T. Hill Memorial Award, established in 1971, is an annual Marine Corps-wide competition with trophies and certificates of achievement awarded to USMC installations around the globe exhibiting foodservice excellence. Competitors are judged on areas such as operations, sanitation, taste and quality of food.

The award will be formally bestowed upon Sodexo at the Military Foodservice Awards Dinner on Friday, May 19, 2017 in Chicago, Ill., an event sponsored and organized by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
