AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 25, 2013 /3BL Media/ - Circuit of The Americas today released the details of efforts made by the facility and its partners to implement a successful waste recycling and recovery program during the 2012 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX to help minimize the environmental impact of the international event. The efforts were made possible through work with local waste-processing company Texas Disposal Systems (TDS); the Circuit’s catering and hospitality partner, Sodexo; Ecology Solutions; and volunteer-supported recycling and composting programs connected to the Circuit’s first Formula 1™ event, conducted Nov. 16-18, 2012. The waste diversion program is just one of the Circuit’s ongoing sustainability programs.
