Sustainability at Every Step Showcased in Rockwell Automation Remanufacturing Services Video
MILWAUKEE, April 14, 2022 /3BL Media/ - A new video from Rockwell Automation (NYSE: ROK) reviews how the company incorporates sustainability at every step of its global remanufacturing process.
Remanufacturing is a comprehensive and rigorous industrial process by which a previously sold, used, worn, or non-functional product is returned to a “like-new” condition, according to the Remanufacturing Industries Council. The RIC is dedicated to advancing the remanufacturing industry through various initiatives including today’s 5th annual Global Reman Day, which comes just one week before Earth Day, serving as an important reminder about how the two initiatives are closely linked.
“To move into a sustainable future, we must look for opportunities that help us use resources more efficiently,” said Rockwell’s Tom O’Reilly, vice president, Sustainability. “Our remanufacturing and repair business helps our customers reduce e-waste and meet their sustainability goals by enabling the circular economy.”
Rockwell has been providing global remanufacturing services for more than 30 years. The company’s process preserves approximately 85% of energy expended and uses almost 90%, fewer raw materials than production of the original product.
