T. Rowe Price Earns Top Marks in 2016 Corporate Equality Index
T. Rowe Price received a score of 95 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking tool on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) employees.
The index scores companies in five categories: nondiscrimination policies, employee benefits, organizational competency and accountability around LGBT diversity and inclusion, positive engagement with the external LGBT community, and responsible citizenship. The 2016 CEI rated a total of 1,027 businesses in the report.
“We are proud to be recognized for our commitment to diversity and equality by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation,” said Angela Roseboro, head of Diversity and Inclusion at T. Rowe Price. “We want to create an environment where all of our associates feel comfortable bringing their full selves to work. This led to the recent launch of PRIDE @ T. Rowe Price, a business resource group for LGBT associates as well as allies who support them. Through this initiative and other projects we hope to ensure an inclusive workplace that embraces diversity.”
