We always hear that sustainability is about preserving the world for the future generations, but do those generations understand how we are doing this? We know that our actions have a strong impact on our planet and on future generations. We have the responsibility to focus on making a better world for us and our children, while taking meaningful commitments, and Schneider Electric is committed to spread this message worldwide. This is the theme of this year’s holiday greetings card from Schneider Electric! For every share of the card on social media, Schneider Electric Foundation will donate 1 euro for a project devoted to close the energy gap in the world. The donation will go to various international projects devoted to providing sustainable energy.
Make a positive sustainability impact on the world
We have the responsibility to focus on making a better world for us and our children, and we are proud to spread this message worldwide. By sharing Schneider Electric’s greetings e-card on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn, you will help improve access to energy for underprivileged people.
Discover the projects the donations are applied for
1. Rebuilding after natural disasters: A massive earthquake and tsunami have led to a catastrophe in Palu and Donggala, Indonesia. As many schools have been destroyed, we mobilized our network to help people of Palu gain access to education. Through "Building Back Palu" project, we are restoring the laboratories in electrical vocational schools and providing them with the needed equipment.
2. Overcoming fuel poverty: According to the French observatory of economic contexts, based on European Commission data, 11% of European households are living in fuel poverty, spending a considerable proportion of their incomes on energy. We support the "No home without energy" project, led by ECODES in Spain, and provide innovative solutions to tackle fuel poverty.
Thanks to your participation, the volunteer projects in Spain and Indonesia could be a success.
