TürkTraktör Supports Turkey’s Fight Against the COVID-19 Pandemic
TürkTraktör, CNH Industrial’s longstanding joint-venture with Turkey’s Koç Group, is doing its part to support the country in the fight against the COVID-19 virus and help prevent the spread.
With a return to work at the two production sites in Ankara and Erenler, following all of the necessary health and safety protocols, staff have begun producing critically-needed medical equipment – intubation and biological sample collection cabins – which are already being delivered to the hospitals selected by the Turkish Ministry of Health in Sakarya, Kocaeli and Ankara.
The equipment is produced with a rapid turnaround time thanks to the high production capabilities of the facilities and are manufactured according to all of the measures issued by the Turkish Ministry of Health and World Health Organization (WHO). The method of manufacturing them has been further improved upon by TürkTraktör engineers based on the feedback of the doctors and the healthcare providers on site.
Further to this effort, the joint-venture launched two special programs for its customers. The first is a free one-year subscription to its 'My Field on My Mobile’ application to support digital decision making in agricultural operations. Through the app, farmers can access information extending from weather to plant health and plenty of other agricultural data easily via their mobile devices. The second initiative is a free of charge 'Mobile Road Support' program for farmers over the age 65. As the cultivation and planting season commences in various regions of Turkey, TürkTraktör offers its Mobile Road Support to New Holland and Case IH tractor owners over the age of 65 to ensure the continuity of agricultural production. The service personnel picks up the tractor on site to carry out the maintenance and repair work. Within the scope of this service, TürkTraktör also bears the towing cost when required to get the tractor to the service center and back to the farm. Mobile Road Support is offered to all New Holland and Case IH tractors, including the ones whose warranty periods are over.
The Company has also done its part to boost morale from providing its unused computers to students in need as the schools are closed to organizing a drawing competition for the children of its employees and holding an online applause session amongst its ‘work from home’ employees for health workers.
