TWC Uses Drone to Provide Internet Service for Texas Flood Victims

Time Warner Cable's technical operations and construction teams used a drone to carry a vital fiber-optic line across a bridge that had been washed away by flood waters in San Marcos, Texas.  This wasn't just any line: it was the main connection to Internet, video and cell tower service for more than 20,000 of our customers.  Basically, it was difficult, if not impossible for these customers to stay connected to information and loved ones while the line was down.  The crews had to get the line up - and fast.
