Union Pacific Railroad Posts Sector-Best Newsweek Green Rankings Improvement Since 2009

Union Pacific Railroad has climbed 193 spots since the inaugural Newsweek Green Rankings in 2009, the best improvement performance among companies in the transportation sector.  Union Pacific moved to number 246 in the recently published 2012 rankings, second overall among large U.S. railroads. Other companies recorded larger improvements compared to 2011 as a result of dropping in the 2011 rankings compared to 2010. Union Pacific is the only large U.S. railroad to improve its Newsweek Green Ranking each year.
