(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Tokyo - January 20, 2012 - UPS Japan announced that it will continue its support of the International Intercultural Mural Exchange (IIME) project organized by non-profit organization, Japan Art Mile (JAM). IIME is an educational project that connects schools in Japan and overseas through art. By collaboratively painting a five-by-twelve foot mural, children deepen their understanding of different cultures and of each other. UPS will deliver half-completed murals from Japan to schools in eight countries: Canada, Indonesia, Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, UAE, UK, and USA.

JAM started IIME in 2006 with an aim to foster the next generation with a global view and thinking skills. The project is now supported by the Ministries of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan, and is praised as an effective tool for the education of international understanding of diverse values.
