Verizon Launches Second Annual Innovative App Challenge
by Brittany Wright
BOZEMAN - This year, Verizon Wireless is giving students another opportunity to put their creative caps on and create an app that helps solves real-world problems.
Maya Priebe is one of eight students from Sacajawea Middle School who won the state competition for the Verizon Wireless Innovative App Challenge. They created an app on Surviving A Natural Disaster.
The app allows people to know where safety is and what to do if there is ever a natural disaster in their community. The students had to write a 1,000 word essay and create a two-minute video describing the app.
