The Versaic Digest

It’s been a great couple weeks for articles about CSR, corporate giving, and more. Let’s jump right in to our picks for the standouts.

As a dog-friendly office, this Forbes article caught our eye- What Dogs Can Teach Us About Corporate Social Responsibility. (Unfortunately) not just about dogs, it describes ways your corporate social responsibility strategy can be a business model rather than a promotion. From a brand new CSR promotion to a tried and true success- we can learn some tips from the partnership between Bon-Ton Stores and Goodwill in an article from the Huffington Post.

Giving Tuesday is right around the corner and if you haven’t already started, now is a good time to start thinking about how you or your company will participate. (Don’t know what Giving Tuesday is?  Check out the website) And if you want to do something a little different but can’t think of ideas other than cash giving, this article gives you plenty of alternatives.

Here’s an interesting article from Mashable going over the results of charitable giving by social media users.

In client news, Dell has partnered with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization to address issues around e-waste in developing countries. Kudos for committing to work on such an important problem!

Finally- a short video with CSR Evangelist David Connor. He explains the power of video to express the impact of your CSR program.
