Avnet employees in Phoenix, Ariz., USA, recently banded together to clean, organize and beautify a school as part of the annual HandsOn Greater Phoenix Serve-A-Thon. More than 130 Avnet volunteers spent a Saturday morning at Keller Elementary School in Mesa, Ariz., painting murals, planting gardens, cleaning classrooms and cataloging the school library. Having sponsored the event since its beginning 22 years ago, Avnet is HandsOn’s “oldest” partner and the event continues to be a favorite activity in the Avnet Cares employee-led volunteer program.
