Video: “The Green Wall” at Barclays Increases Environmental Awareness
by Karen Young
We unveiled “The Green Wall” at Barclays Center as part of our partnership with Barclays Center and the Brooklyn Nets to engage and inspire environmental stewardship in the local community.
“National Grid is committed to protecting and enhancing the environment and advancing new technologies for a clean energy future,” says New York President John Bruckner. “Through our partnership with Barclays Center and the Brooklyn Nets we are engaging and inspiring environmental awareness in the local community.”
“The Green Wall” presented by National Grid is made of reindeer moss which helps improve air quality and reduces dust and carbon dioxide levels in the air and helps stabilize moisture levels. It’s located on the arena’s main concourse between Sections 19 and 20. View the unveiling event in this video.
National Grid is one of the founding partners of Barclays Center, and serves as the Official Green Community Partner and natural gas provider to the arena. Through efforts like installing a green wall at a major sports venue, National Grid aims to help inspire sustainability in Brooklyn to create a cleaner and greener community.
