Voya Financial Announces Fourth Annual National Day of Service
Thousands of employees will volunteer with nonprofit organizations across the country

(NYSE: VOYA), will today hold its fourth annual National Day of Service, a companywide effort during which thousands of its employees will give back to their local communities. Employees across Voya’s nine major sites and virtual population will participate in more than 200 events supporting local nonprofits in regions where they live and work.

Martin Jr. “This year, we’ve expanded our activities helping young people become financially resilient and will also partner with organizations focused on people with special needs — two key focus areas of our organization. Deploying volunteers across the country helps our workforce come together in a meaningful way to contribute to positive change in our communities.”
Voya’s first National Day of Service was held in 2014. Each year, the number of hours volunteered for the day has increased, and now totals 34,500 for the three prior National Days of Service. In 2017, employees and their families will work with nonprofit partners to build homes, mentor children and young adults, revitalize green spaces in their community and package meals for those less fortunate.
Voya’s commitment to employee volunteerism goes beyond a one-day event. Full-time employees are provided 40 hours of paid volunteer time each year. In 2016 alone, Voya employees volunteered more than 50,000 hours to support their communities.
