Wells Fargo Offers Financial Education Webinars for Military Members
Free online sessions Aug. 26-28 focus on homebuying, credit, money management
DES MOINES, Iowa, August 27, 2014 /3BL Media/ - As part of a commitment to serve military members, veterans and their families, Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC) will offer four free financial education webinars for service members Aug. 26-28. Topics include homebuying, managing credit, and budgeting and saving.
The free online sessions are offered through Wells Fargo’s Military Mortgage Express program and are open to all interested military members and veterans.
“Wells Fargo is proud to support our service members and their families, and one way we do that is by offering education to help them succeed financially,” said David Gibbons, Military Mortgage Express program manager. “These free webinars are a great chance for military members to learn about financial topics important to them and their families, whether it’s buying or refinancing a home, making the most of their money with budgeting and saving, or managing their credit.”

Next to saving for retirement, buying a home may be one of the largest financial decisions for Americans. During this session, participants will learn about the homebuying process, how to identify the costs associated with buying a home and types of financing available, featuring the VA Home Loan Guaranty Program. - Budgeting and Saving: Aug. 27, 2 p.m. CDT. Participants will learn how to make the most of their money by saving more, creating a spending plan and being a smart shopper. - Get Smart About Credit: Aug. 28, 2 p.m. CDT. Access code: MilCREDIT
How to manage credit responsibly is an important skill to learn. In this session, participants will learn how to manage credit cards, the factors that go into an individual’s credit score, and how to manage credit cards responsibly.
