Wicklund Key to Boys & Girls Club Funding

Appliance manufacturer Maytag honored Wicklund as one of 11 Boys & Girls Club officials nationwide to receive a Maytag Dependable Leader Award late last year. The honor included a $20,000 grant for the Green Bay club, which will use the money on scholarships for what Wicklund says are deserving teens who are on a college pathway.
Few people at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay have worked longer for the organization than Johanna Wicklund. She is the longest-tenured member of the club’s executive management team with more than 15 years of service.
“Really, I’m a lifer,” the 39-year-old Wicklund said with a laugh Tuesday.
Praised by her colleagues for the long hours she puts on the job and her go-getter track record for generating financial support for the nonprofit, Wicklund isn’t letting up this week. She plans to keep working right into the weekend in what is the biggest week of the year for the local Boys & Girls Club.
“It’s very much all hands on deck,” said Wicklund, the agency’s senior director of Strategy & Measurement.
