Xylem Volunteers Participate in EarthEcho’s Water Challenge on World Water Monitoring Day

Last fall, Xylem Watermark volunteers from Yellow Springs, Ohio spent World Water Monitoring Day with EarthEcho at Cuyahoga Valley National Park, participating in water education activities for more than 100 students from surrounding schools. Volunteers joined EarthEcho co-founder and President Philippe Cousteau Jr. in leading students through invasive species removal, tree-planting, and water quality testing using the EarthEcho Water Challenge test kit. Through these activities, students learned about the importance of protection and restoration within the Cuyahoga River watershed. Students also had the opportunity to record their water quality data in the EarthEcho Water Challenge database, learning how their work can contribute to awareness of water issues.
