Tetra Tech and Louisville Metropolitan Sewer District Win the 2019 INFORMS Franz Edelman Award

Tetra Tech won the prestigious Franz Edelman Award, which recognizes the ways that operation research and analytics are improving how people live and work around the globe. This accolade, which was announced at the INFORMS gala on April 15, 2019, recognizes Tetra Tech’s partnership with the Louisville Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) in Kentucky to implement real-time control (RTC) software to manage the city’s sewer network.

Tetra Tech Designs Innovative Irrigation System in Lakewood, California

As part of the Los Cerritos Watershed Management Plan, the City of Lakewood, California, selected Tetra Tech to provide preliminary engineering, design services, and construction support services for the stormwater and runoff capture project in Bolivar Park.

Bolivar Park currently uses potable water for all irrigation needs. The City is implementing a smart regional stormwater best management practice that results in water quality improvements in the Los Cerritos channel, enables stormwater infiltration, and provides an alternate water supply for the park’s irrigation needs.

CASE Construction Equipment Awards Chapin, South Carolina with the 2019 Dire States Grant for East Chapin Sewer Force Main Project

CASE Construction Equipment, a brand of CNH Industrial, has awarded the $25,000 Dire States Equipment Grant to Chapin, South Carolina for the East Chapin Sewer Force Main Project. The project will install a new parallel force main to relieve pressures in the service area on the existing sewer force main and pump stations. The additional force main will provide capacity to reroute sewer flow to significantly reduce the likelihood of future overflows that may affect the drinking water of approximately 130,000 drinking water customers in area.
