Symantec Expands Software Donation Partnership with TechSoup

In our increasingly digital world, nonprofit employees and volunteers typically handle sensitive data on a daily basis, and data security is a top concern. With limited budgets, nonprofit and charitable organizations often lack the resources needed to invest in quality data protection. For the past 16 years, Symantec and TechSoup have worked together to provide nonprofits with affordable access to much-needed security software.

Product donation is our largest mechanism to support the nonprofit community and we offer both Norton and Symantec Enterprise products, including Norton Small Business and Symantec Endpoint Protection, to TechSoup free of charge.

Xylem Donations Make Completion of New Prep School Possible After Devastation from Hurricane Harvey

Xylem colleagues toured one of YES Prep Schools facilities in Houston, TX last week in celebration of the completion of a new school building. Xylem Watermark donated to YES Prep to support building classrooms in response to the devastation from Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Xylem also participated in water monitoring educational events at the time, adding to its efforts to solve water and educate youth about water issues. YES Prep School is committed to providing students in underserved communities access to superior educational opportunities, and Xylem is proud to support this effort.

Video: Hallmark Time-Lapse Creation of Elementary School Mural

As part of Hallmark’s #my5days program, Hallmark artists completed a mural at Longfellow Elementary school in Kansas City, Mo. The #my5days program allows Hallmark’s creative community five work days throughout the year to gain creative renewal and inspiration to gain new perspectives and find new ways to connect with their consumers and the marketplace. Summer 2018 marked the first time multiple artists used their talents and #my5days to benefit local community partners.

LA Kings Host Halloween Party at Ronald McDonald House

AEG’s LA Kings and Blue Shield of California teamed up to host a Halloween Party at the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House on Tuesday, October 30. Throughout the afternoon, volunteers from the Kings and Blue Shield of California – including LA Kings center Nate Thompson and his wife Sydney – prepared and distributed gift bags, decorated cookies with guests, led Halloween-themed arts and crafts and played a lively game of ball hockey.

Subaru of America, Inc. today announced the donation of nearly $57,000 to the Oregon Humane Society (OHS) as a part of the Subaru Loves Pets initiative to help improve the safety and wellbeing of animals in local Oregon communities.
