Yorkshire Building Society Group has today published its latest Society Matters report. The report demonstrates the Society’s recent achievements and vision to fulfil its commitment to create a lasting, positive impact on society in the UK, focusing on the key priority areas of Customers, People, Community and the Environment.

The Panalpina Integrated Management Report 2017 gives an overview of the company’s strategy and business model, the performance of its regions and products, and its approach to sustainability management. For the second year, the report integrates the discussion of Panalpina’s business performance and sustainability.

What will mass transit look like in the future? Earlier this year, California announced an ambitious plan to reduce emissions by 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2030, setting the state on a path to achieving 80-percent reduction by 2050. Although satisfying these goals will require contributions from all sectors of the economy, the transition to zero- and near-zero emission vehicles will play an outsized role — particularly when it comes to mass transit.

G&A Institute has analyzed index companies’ sustainability reporting activities since 2011. Our research over the past seven years shows that corporate reporting on sustainability -- including environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and achievements -- continues to be a consistent, reliable standard for the largest and most influential companies in the US capital markets. “Sustainability reporting” rose dramatically from 2011, when roughly 20% of companies published reports, to 72% just three years later in 2013. From 2013 to 2017, the frequency of reporting has increased each year, now up to 85% of companies reporting in 2017.
