In a research report developed by BNY Mellon and the UN Foundation called “Return on Equality: Investment Opportunities to Help Close the Global Gender Gap,” we highlight a $300 billion market opportunity in taking a products-and-services approach to gender parity.

Over four million visitors come to Yosemite National Park every year. Between visitors and park staff we end up with nearly 2,200 tons of garbage annually. This is not the legacy anyone intends to leave behind.

In 2016, GME partnered with the Texas Parks 
& Wildlife Department (TPWD) to provide the organization innovative and cost-effective solar and smart-meter solutions. Additionally, GME will provide energy solutions to all TPWD facilities in deregulated areas with 100 percent renewable energy, supporting the TPWD’s mission to manage and conserve the state’s natural and cultural resources for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.

By following the money, we are now establishing a better line-of-sight into the true costs of using water. This, in turn, has enabled us to begin building a model that will provide our managers not just a truer picture of their water costs, but more precisely where they should focus their water efficiency improvement projects for the greatest benefit. This model is now being tested in some of our mills and will be improved as we learn more.

It is an ongoing challenge for this federal agency to secure the money required to maintain real-time monitoring stations across the country. Moreover, if the USGS stops executing this mission, the benefit of long-term water monitoring data is lost. Enter Domtar. We understand the importance of real-time water quality and stream flow data.

Wells Fargo today named 20 small businesses as winners and finalists of the Wells Fargo Works for Small Business®: Neighborhood Renovation Program Contest, which ran from May 1 – June 16, 2017. Each business will receive a physical makeover including architect-advised renovation planning and design. Wells Fargo launched the program in collaboration with Rebuilding Together, a premier nonprofit organization focused on rebuilding communities in need across the country, which will help complete the renovations.

From a pool of nearly 400 submissions, the Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) recently announced the winners of the 2016-17 Awards for Reporting on the Environment, and two awards went to 21st Century Fox’s National Geographic reporters, Craig Welch and Rachel Nuwer, for their important work in illuminating pressing issues of climate change and the human impact of wild animal welfare around the world.
