Coca-Cola and Keep America Beautiful Celebrate America Recycles Day With Public Spaces Recycling Bin Grant Program

National nonprofit Keep America Beautiful and The Coca-Cola Foundation today – on America Recycles Day – announced the opening of the application period for the 2018 Keep America Beautiful/Coca-Cola Public Spaces Recycling Bin Grant Program. In its 12th year, the initiative is designed to increase access to recycling in community public spaces across America. Grant applications will be available online through Dec. 20 (11:59 p.m. EST), 2018. Applicants may visit BinGrant.org to apply.

Whether its metal, plastic, glass, electronics or paper, these materials consume a vast amount of resources during the extraction, manufacturing and transportation process.

Keep America Beautiful Celebrates America Recycles Day With “State of Recycling” Forum

Keep America Beautiful, in celebration of America Recycles Day, is hosting the 2018 “State of Recycling” Forum in Washington, D.C., presented in partnership with Keurig Dr Pepper. This year’s topic is “Cleaning Up Recycling: Motivating Individuals to Recycle.” The Forum, which take place Nov. 15 starting at 9:15 a.m., will be streamed via Facebook Live on Keep America Beautiful’s Facebook page.
