WASHINGTON D.C., October 24, 2016 /3BL Media/ - In the United States, 70% of workers report not being engaged at work, according to the recent Gallup research. Employee engagement is a challenge any organization faces and one that Gavin Cepelak, Vice President, Global Pro Bono, PYXERA Global, will address on October 25, 2016 at a PSI Roundtable Fellowship lunch.

The roundtable will focus on exploring how partnerships can lead to innovative employee engagement opportunities in new markets and why pro bono fellowships matter to both the organization and the employee.

“Global pro bono serves as an innovative, hands-on, immersive employee engagement tool,” said Mr. Cepelak. “It enables employees to represent their organization in a new environment that challenges them and brings value to the company.”

The roundtable will include past global pro bono participants:

  • Brian Szurpicki, World Wide Sales Manager, FedEx
  • Amanda Gholson, Strategic Operations, Principal Program Manager, FedEx
  • Melody Westmeyer, Certified Senior Managing Consultant, IBM Global Business Services
  • Rebecca Hamilton, Enterprise Support Delivery Manager, SAP
  • Yvette Aucoin, Territory Manager, Pfizer

The roundtable will give past fellows and program managers a chance to share insights into the value of an immersive new market experience, how they applied pro bono experience to their work back home, and biggest lessons learned. Lastly, they will discuss how to harness the skills learned and creativity sparked for new innovations within their company.
