More than 300 AEG employees participate in company Service Day in conjunction with AEG’s charitable holiday initiative, Season of Giving; Donates $10,000 to Towne Avenue Elementary School and designs new school mascot
In celebration of AEG’s Season of Giving, more than 300 AEG employees from Southern California came together to participate in the company’s annual Service Day on Dec. 6 at Towne Avenue Elementary in Carson, Calif.
Employees from the company’s Southern California-based offices and divisions, including AEG Presents, STAPLES Center, L.A. LIVE, Dignity Health Sports Park, LA Kings, LA Galaxy and the Los Angeles Convention Center, teamed up with Playworks to create a more engaging, educational and colorful environment for children to learn and thrive, in addition to engaging students through the power of play as they led games and activities during the school’s recess periods.
Beautification projects included painting educational-based school pride, healthy eating and active living murals, including the school’s new mascot which AEG worked with the school to design. Students and teachers were also gifted school shirts featuring the new mascot.
In addition to the efforts of its staff throughout the day, AEG made a $10,000 donation to Towne Avenue Elementary School, which was presented to the school’s principal, Wendy Sanchez.
