AEG’s ASCSC Foundation, National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment (NABFEME) and Women Helping Women in Entertainment Host Sixth Annual Women in Entertainment Luncheon
The sold-out sixth annual Women in Entertainment Luncheon (Film, TV, Music, Sports, and Fashion), presented by Coca Cola, Barefoot Wine, Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers and City National Bank welcomed more than 250 top female executives in the entertainment industry for an empowering afternoon of networking and discussion on Friday, June 14 at Dignity Health Sports Park.
The event was hosted by AEG’s ASCSC Foundation, National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment, Inc. (NABFEME Los Angeles) and Women Helping Women in Entertainment.
“The Women in Entertainment Luncheon provides networking opportunities for female executives and facilitates conversations that address issues and trends affecting women working in the entertainment industry,” said Tamala Lewis, Women in Entertainment Luncheon Founder and AEG’s Dignity Health Sports Park Center Community Affairs and Foundation Senior Director.
“We are thrilled that over the past six years, the event has garnered attention and support from not only female executives, but LA-based sports franchises across almost every league and top-tier entertainment companies – such as AEG, LA Galaxy, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers, Fox Entertainment, etc. – which has resulted in a waitlist in the triple digits!”
The 2019 event featured a panel moderated by Pat Shields (Black Dot, LLC.) highlighting entertainment executives Naomi Rodriguez (Los Angeles Dodgers), Kiesha Nix (Los Angeles Lakers), Mamie Coleman (Fox Entertainment), Kelly Staley (AEG), Jackie Sorkin (Hollywood Candy Girls & Creator of Candytopia) and Kheris Rogers (Flexin’ In My Complexion).
Festivities also featured a live performance by Tia P., celebrity KJLH radio DJ Jiji Sweet and remarks by Dignity Health Sports Park General Manager Katie Pandolfo, Tamala Lewis (Senior Director, Dignity Health Sports Park Community Affairs & Foundation) and Johnnie Walker (President, NABFEME). The event also recognized the Ladylike Foundation Founder, Leah Pump and The Friendship Foundation Managing Director, Nina Patel.
