AEG’s LA Kings and LA Galaxy as Part of THE ALLIANCE: Los Angeles Join Brotherhood Crusade in Second Annual Unity March & Dialogue
LA Kings’ Blake Bolden Participates in Panel Discussion
On July 24, 2022, THE ALLIANCE: Los Angeles, a group organized to drive impact for social change through sport, held the Second Annual Unity March & Dialogue to amplify Los Angeles’ stance against racism.
The event, which was coordinated in partnership with the Brotherhood Crusade, a youth and community development organization, brought together local youth, civic leaders, LAPD, and nearly 1,000 community members who peacefully demonstrated in a youth-led march showing unity against racism.
Following the march, youth from Brotherhood Crusade participated in a dialogue with local leaders, police officials, and sports executives, who discussed the systemic inequalities that affect the city’s communities of color, particularly Black communities.
Among the speakers was LA Kings’ Blake Bolden, the National Hockey League’s (NHL) first Black woman to hold a scouting role, and the first Black professional women’s hockey player.
“It is invaluable to create a forum where youth and law enforcement officials can safely and peacefully engage in constructive conversations,” said LA Kings’ Blake Bolden. “Through the collective power of THE ALLIANCE, we continue to demonstrate how sports can be a driving force for change.”
"We Are All Kings" platform signals the LA Kings commitment to creating a culture in which every individual feels welcome in the Kings family. As such, namesake programming will reflect two values the LA Kings holds to its core, inclusivity, and equity. Through "We Are All Kings" the LA Kings commit to investing resources to ensure every player and fan is embraced within the sport of hockey locally.

Clippers; Kiesha Nix, Executive Director of the Los Angeles Lakers; Kevin Demoff, Chief Operating Officer of the Rams; A.G.
