The Initiative will support and coordinate investor’s engagement with companies to eliminate deforestation from their soybean supply chains within South America.

This summer both organizations are working together to increase awareness of aviation-related careers through hands-on learning for minority students and girls, ages 14-18. Students will learn directly from pilots and other aviation professionals at JetBlue’s airports, hangars and flight training centers in Boston; Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Long Beach/Los Angeles; New York; Orlando, Fla.; San Juan, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

People may be more willing to pay for clean energy and strategies that dramatically reduce emissions than previous studies have suggested, according to new research by Michigan State University Professor Douglas Bessette and University of Michigan Professor Joseph Árvai, “Engaging Attribute Tradeoffs in Clean Energy Portfolio Development,” published in Energy Policy. Árvai is the Erb Institute’s faculty director.

KeyBank Community Development Lending & Investment (CDLI) provided a $10.4 million bridge loan to Affordable Housing Development Services, LLC (AHDS) for the acquisition of Ocean King Apartments, an 82-unit project located in North Miami, FL. Ocean King Apartments is currently operating at market rate and will be transitioned to an affordable community that will serve individuals earning up to 60% area median income (AMI).
