Atlas Copco Turkey Announces 2016 Mentorship Program
At Atlas Copco we believe that commitment to gender diversity at the highest level is crucial in order to be an attractive employer. This is why we focus on attracting, recruiting, developing and retaining female talent and providing them a workplace where they can empower themselves and see things from different perspectives.
Recognizing the need to develop more women in managerial positions, the first high-level female mentorship program, Atlas Copco Pleiades, was launched. The womens’ business network, Pleiades is committed to to support, encourage women to grow within Atlas Copco. It offers successful, skilled, committed and highly motivated women the necessary boost by helping extend their business network across functional, divisional and geographic boundaries.
In order to spread and support the “Pleaides spirit”, Atlas Copco Turkey has become a corporate member of Professional Women Network (PWN) in Istanbul. The collaboration with PWN fits very well with Atlas Copco Turkey’s approach to career development and promoting gender diversity in the workplace. The network believes that gender-balanced decision making creates strength of character, resilience and growth, and impacts the community by sharing knowledge, best practices, tools and techniques through mentoring, events and programs.
PWN has launched a 2016 mentorship program and organized meeting to gather all mentor and mentee candidates in January. During the meeting, candidates had a chance to share more about themselves and learn more about the rest of the group.
Atlas Copco Turkey has now selected participants for the mentorship program, and announced the following candidates for the 2016 Mentorship program:
