Resilient, resourceful with an intense desire to work. These are just a few of the qualities that make people on the autism spectrum great employees. In the first of this 4 part series about autism and employment, I’ll share the updates about SAP’s Autism at Work program that many of you have been asking for.
SAP, an early leader in employing people on the autism spectrum, has had quite a month:
- On April 2, in conjunction with World Autism Awareness Day, they participated at Employment: The Autism Advantage in New York City, a UN call to action where businesses worldwide were invited to make concrete pledges and commitments to employ people with autism. SAP, having discovered what it takes to create work environments where people with autism can excel, was invited to the event to share details of the Autism at Work initiative along with key learnings and best-practices.
