The Biggest Blessing Was Hearing Them Call Us Mom and Dad for the First Time

“We knew during our first meeting with them that we needed them as much as they needed us,” said Wendy and Joseph Garren about the day they met their four children, Morgan, Logan, Trevor and Tiffany.

These siblings spent nearly five years in foster care before being adopted by the Garrens in May 2017. “There was a huge adjustment period...it was very hard for them to be able to put their trust in us,” Wendy and Joseph shared. But adoption has been a blessing for their family. “The biggest blessing was hearing them call us Mom and Dad the first time. Seeing them hit different milestones in life, even small ones like having the courage to give the waitress their order. Knowing that they feel safe!” To the Garrens, “family means forever!”
