The Boards of Directors of Carnival Corporation and Carnival plc have established a Board-level Health, Environmental, Safety & Security ("HESS") Committee to assist the Board in fulfilling their responsibility to supervise and monitor HESS policies, programs, initiatives at sea and onshore, and compliance with HESS legal and regulatory requirements.
Carnival’s Corporate Maritime Policy Department, headed by a Senior Vice President, with a full-time professional and administrative staff, is responsible for providing a common, integrated approach to management of HESS matters, and for reporting to the HESS Committee on such matters. This includes developing fleetwide standards for safe ship operations, assessing and managing maritime risks, and overseeing corporate HESS and sustainability programs.
