Collaboration is Vital to Addressing the Sustainable Development Goals
Gavin Cepelak, PYXERA Global, will be a Panelist at the Conservation Conference to Discuss the Private Sector’s Role in Partnership for the SDGs
WASHINGTON, D.C., November 2, 2016 /3BL Media/ - No one sector can advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) alone. Gavin Cepelak, Vice President, Global Pro Bono, PYXERA Global, will be a panelist on Collaborating for the SDGs at the Conservation Conference 2016, November 3.
“The SDGs are all-encompassing. To make progress on the Goals, we will need to involve the input of all the stakeholders that touch an issue, including the private sector,” said Mr. Cepelak. “The first step to addressing a global challenge is identifying where interests overlap between private, social, and public sector organizations.”
Mr. Cepelak will be accompanied on the panel by Jennifer Molnar, Managing Director and Lead Scientist, Center for Sustainability Science and Jennifer Gerholdt, Senior Director, Environment Program, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
The panel will focus on SDG 15, which promotes the sustainable use of ecosystems and the reversal of land degradation. It will also look at the interrelated goals that influence the advancement of Goal 15, exploring how corporate volunteerism and the infusion of financial investment can positively influence environmental systems.
