Demystifying climate action: Bloomberg’s road to Net Zero

Terms like “sustainability”, “carbon emissions”, and “renewable energy” are becoming more and more ubiquitous. Taking a stance on climate change is very much in the mainstream, with businesses, cities, and countries rallying together to meet the ambitious emissions reductions required of the Paris Climate Agreement. Companies around the world are now committing to science-based targets and making net zero pledges to do their part in reducing the most devastating effects of climate change. And Bloomberg is doing its part with our recent net zero commitment, further underscored by our philanthropic endeavors and Mike Bloomberg’s appointment as UN Global Ambassador for Race to Zero and Race to Resilience, and new role as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy on Climate Ambition and Solutions.
