DuPont and P&G Introduce Green Innovation with Cellulosic Ethanol

A host of new sustainable technologies are emerging to convert America’s waste products, agricultural residue, grasses, algae and others into bio-based products. Cellulosic ethanol is one of the most promising biomass products in this category. Sustainable innovation companies such as DuPont and Procter & Gamble (P&G) are introducing new technologies that promote efficiencies, open new markets for biomass, and generate employment in green sectors.
As an industry first, DuPont and P&G have announced a collaboration to use cellulosic ethanol in Tide laundry detergent in the North American market. This makes Tide Cold Water the first brand in the world to make use of cellulosic ethanol in a commercial and scalable manner. This green innovation will provide a new opportunity for the consumers to make sustainable choices in their everyday lives.
