Eat Less Beef = Fewer Emissions

400,000 people took over the streets of the Big Apple to urge politicians to take action to reduce emissions and slow down global warming in the run-up to the recent UN Climate Summit that took place in New York. The People’s Climate March was a landmark event; thousands of people marched in 166 countries to express solidarity.
The massive crowd drummed out messages from different arenas of sustainability. Some asked for clean energy, others underlined family planning while another group marched to remind people of one action they can take that has a formidable impact on their personal emissions score: cutting out meat from their diet.
Meat Free Monday got together with Meatless Monday and other support groups to promote the reduction of meat consumption as part of the climate mitigation action pack.
