From the First Day, I Didn't Want to Leave Him
"I knew we were going to face a lot of uphill battles together. But right from that first day, I didn't want to leave him." Dee Marks was no stranger to foster care adoption. She had already adopted her daughter when she was approached by a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids recruiter about an 8 year old boy named CJ who has autism.
Dee says when CJ came to her home, he had a lot of behaviors they had to work through. But day-by-day she was committed to helping CJ learn to communicate. Not only did CJ start to speak, he now will tell you all about how he loves basketball, salad and is running on his middle school track team. CJ and so many children like him wait in foster care for a family to open their hearts and homes to them.
Please consider helping the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption reach it’s goal of finding a forever family for every child waiting in foster care. #FosterCareAdoption #ItsWorthIt.
