Former U.S. Surgeon Generals to Keynote Second Annual National Healthcare DEI Conference
PITTSBURGH, Pa., March 3, 2021, /3BL Media/ - The Healthcare Diversity Council (HCD) of the National Diversity Council (NDC) will host their second annual National Healthcare DEI Conference on Tuesday, July 27 and Wednesday, July 28, 2021 via Whova/Zoom.

Taking place over two half days, the National Healthcare DEI Conference is a premier leadership development event, gathering healthcare professionals and leaders from all over the nation in paneled discussions about crucial conversations, current issues and ways to bring equitable care in relation to this year’s theme of "Managing Pandemics: Recover, Restore, Renew."
Opening the conference as joint keynote speakers are Dr. Richard Carmona, Vice Chair and CEO of Canyon Ranch Institute and 17th Surgeon General of the United States and Dr. David Satcher, MD, PhD, Founding Director and Senior Advisor of the Satcher Health Institute and 16th Surgeon General of the United States.
The conference will include over 15 panel sessions and an awards luncheon honoring individuals and organizations in recognition of their exemplary diversity initiatives and efforts in paving the way for equitable healthcare delivery. Diversity, equity and inclusion leader, Dr. James E. Taylor of UPMC, will be the luncheon keynote speaker on Day two of the Conference.
