GLAAD Media Awards Recognize “Love, Simon,” “Deadpool 2,” and More Fox Projects for Outstanding LGBTQ Representation

Eleven films and television series from across 21st Century Fox businesses have received nominations for the 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, which recognize media for fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues. The nominated projects, which include Deadpool 2 from Twentieth Century Fox, Modern Family from Twentieth Century Fox Television, Pose from FX Networks, and more, will compete for the top honors at two ceremonies: one in Los Angeles on March 28 and another in New York City on May 4.

- Outstanding Individual Episode (in a series without a regular LGBTQ character): “King in the North,” Fresh Off the Boat (Twentieth Century Fox Television)
- Outstanding TV Movie or Limited Series: American Horror Story: Apocalypse (FX Networks)
- Outstanding TV Movie or Limited Series: The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story (FX Networks)
"The images and stories recognized by the GLAAD Media Awards over the past 30 years raised the bar for LGBTQ inclusion in the media industry and changed the hearts and minds of countless audience members around the world," said Sarah Kate Ellis, GLAAD President and CEO. This year’s list of nominations also includes the tenth consecutive nomination for Modern Family, which won the Outstanding Comedy Series category in both 2011 and 2012. FX’s Pose garnered acclaim in 2018 for assembling the largest collection of trans actors and crewmembers ever to work on a television series.
