Great Place to Work® Recognizes Mars as the Top FMCG Employer in France
Mars France rated second best place to work in country and best FMCG
PARIS, March 24, 2015 /3BL Media/ – Mars has been recognized this year as the second “Best Workplace” in France by Great Place to Work®, making it the top rated FMCG company in France. This is the fifth year that Mars France has made the top five employers list in the category rating companies with more than 500 employees.
The ranking reflects the hard work and commitment of Mars Associates in France. The Great Place to Work® survey found that 95% of Mars France Associates say they are proud to tell others who they work for and 88% believe that their work is “more than just a job”.
Mars encourages all Associates the opportunity to develop their skills through training and personal development plans. Additionally, there is a strong culture of internal mobility at all levels, between sectors, business and also between countries with 500 Mars France Associates, accounting for more than 10% of the workforce, changing jobs each year.
The ranking builds on Mars’ reputation as a world leading employer after being recognized by Great Place to Work® as one of the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces in 2014. Based on the world’s largest annual study of workplace excellence, it ranked Mars 22nd in the world’s top 25 best multinationals in terms of workplace culture. The list noted the high percentage of women in management positions with 38% of management positions being held by women across Mars.

In 2014, for the fourth year in a row, Mars made the top 25 World’s Best Multinational Workplaces list. Additionally, Mars was named on Great Place to Work and other national workplace ranking lists in Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Brazil, Central America and Caribbean, Chile, China, Denmark, Europe, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States. In the UK, Mars made The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers List, climbing four places from 52nd to 48th from the previous year.
