GRI Unveils New Structure to Reinforce Global Standards in Sustainability Reporting

Accurate, timely and comprehensive sustainability implementation and reporting can help businesses improve their productivity. It contributes to increased motivation level of the employees, and enhances the relationships of the business with its stakeholders. However, the most common barrier to this endeavor is poor internal knowledge and flawed implementation of sustainability reporting.

GRI addresses precisely this barrier by providing the world’s most widely used and referenced sustainability reporting network. GRI has been a pioneer in making the sustainability reporting process standard practice for organizations around the world. Over 5,000 organizations across 90 countries have employed the GRI Guidelines for their sustainability reporting. Twenty-three countries reference the Guidelines in their policy-making.
