GRI Welcomes Eric Dugelay to the Board of Directors

AMSTERDAM, May 19, 2015 /3BL Media/ - GRI, developer of the world’s most trusted and widely used sustainability reporting standard, has just announced the appointment of a new Board member, Eric Dugelay, Deloitte’s Global Sustainability Services Leader. Dugelay joins the 14-member GRI Board, which consists of representatives from business and civil society organizations from around the world.

“Eric’s longstanding commitment to the sustainability reporting field, his global perspective and European presence are timely and important contributions to the GRI Board,” said Chairman of the Board, Christianna Wood. “His extensive network in corporate and reporting communities will be invaluable in terms of helping GRI carry out its mission.”

Based in Paris, Eric Dugelay has been a Partner at Deloitte since 2001, and Global Leader of Deloitte Sustainability Services since 2014. With broad, international experience spanning more than 35 countries, Dugelay has held formal positions in Malaysia, Singapore and China. Eric is also Director at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), working on the subject of assurance of sustainability information. Eric Dugelay replaces retiring GRI Board member Eric Hespenheide, who now chairs GRI’s Global Sustainability Standards Board.
