LA Galaxy Partners With Signature Estate & Investment Advisors, Herbalife Nutrition To Support a Place Called Home’s Annual Back to School Distribution Event
LA Galaxy’s Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez helps support South Central Los Angeles students
On July 22, 2022, AEG’s LA Galaxy teamed up with Signature Estate & Investment Advisors and Herbalife Nutrition to support A Place Called Home’s annual Back to School distribution event which help South Central Los Angeles students prepare for the upcoming academic year.
LA Galaxy’s striker Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, the Galaxy Star Squad and LA Galaxy employees and supporters handed out nearly 1,500 backpacks filled with school essentials such as pencils, crayons, rulers, notebooks, calculators, and pens.
Javier Hernandez shared, “With the first day of school around the corner, I am honored to be here with Herbalife Nutrition, and the LA Galaxy to give back to this community and distribute backpacks and school supplies to prepare these amazing students for the upcoming school year.”
“At the LA Galaxy, we aim to give students the tools they need to succeed,” said Thomas Braun, Senior Vice President, Soccer and Business Operations and Business Development at LA Galaxy. “Having the right supplies makes all the difference and a student’s level of preparedness has a significant impact on their success in the classroom. For instance, when a student knows that they have all the necessary school supplies they will need they will have the confidence to keep growing and learning because they will feel equal to their peers.”
A Place Called Home provides a safe, nurturing environment for youth ages eight to mid-twenties and their families in South Central Los Angeles with proven programs in the arts, education and wellness to help them improve their economic conditions and develop healthy and fulfilling lives.
