Lockheed Martin Employees Recognized with President’s Volunteer Service Awards
BETHESDA, Md., April 15, 2019 /3BL Media/ -- Lockheed Martin proudly recognized 2,418 of its employees who received the President’s Volunteer Service Award for performing more than 100 hours of volunteer service in 2018.
“Volunteering is integral to Lockheed Martin’s mission-driven corporate culture. In fact, last year alone, our employees dedicated an impressive 785,000 hours of volunteer service,” said Jennifer Chavez Rubio, Lockheed Martin’s director of corporate community relations. “We’re especially proud of our employees receiving the prestigious President’s Volunteer Service Award; they’ve gone above and beyond to make a positive impact in their communities and are an inspiration to us all.”
The President’s Volunteer Service Awards recognize and celebrate Americans making a positive impact through volunteer service. They are issued by the Points of Light Institute and the Corporation for National and Community Service on behalf of the President of the United States.
Lockheed Martin recognized its President’s Volunteer Service Award winners during National Volunteer Week, April 7 – 13.
