McKesson Announces New Veteran Small Business Manager

(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) October 22, 2010 - McKesson Corporation, the world’s largest healthcare services company, today announced that Ferris Mitchell has been hired as the Veteran Small Business Relationship Manager to lead McKesson’s Supplier Diversity program. Mitchell will be responsible for increasing the veteran-owned business representation throughout the enterprise and drive growth in diversity spending with veteran and service disabled veteran-owned small businesses.

They include small disadvantaged, historically underutilized, minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned and HUBZone businesses, as well as Ability One nonprofit agencies.   Mitchell previously served as a program manager at Skye Technical Services where he developed the supplier diversity strategy and specialized in the procurement of Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business state and federal programs.
