Merck Veterans in the Spotlight on National Television Show
Merck employees are in the spotlight on "Military Makeover: Operation Career" on Lifetime TV. The show, hosted by Montel Williams, captures the stories of veterans transitioning from the military back to civilian work life and the companies who employ them.
The segment focuses on Sandra Milligan, senior vice president, global regulatory affairs and clinical safety, Craig Maceri, director, vaccine operations and Shelia Carter, associate director, oncology launch excellence. These three veterans discuss a range of topics, including how their military skills translate to their current jobs, Merck's Veterans Employee Business Resource Group (EBRG), the company's community of veterans and veteran supporters and even grappling with post-traumatic stress disorder after military service.
“Bringing veterans into our company is an opportunity to leverage and benefit from diverse perspectives, experiences and leadership capabilities,” says Sandra Milligan. “They enrich our organization at every level. In addition, supporting the Veteran's EBRG has allowed me to connect with veterans from a wide range of roles and geographies.”
