Net Positive Conference in San Diego
Accelerating the Global Shift Toward Net Positive Energy and Water Buildings and Communities via Provocative Speakers and Powerful Dialogue
January 6, 2016 /3BL Media/ - Experience the next generation of buildings through two of our primary resources, energy and water. See how experts are expanding Net Zero concepts in ways that look far into the future, consider the endgame and shape our efforts to create productive, thriving communities. As an added bonus, this year’s conference will expand on deep vision and technical concepts and also take a special look at Net Zero through an equity lens – ensuring that the reinvention of our buildings and communities benefits all, not just a select few. Keynote speakers include Denise Fairchild, CEO of Emerald Cities, dedicated to greening our cities while expanding opportunities for all, and Melina Laboucan-Massimo, Cree tar sands activist and renewables advocate.
The event will be held February 18-19, 2016 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, Ca. A limited number of full conference press passes are available to credentialed media. Click here to register for the conference and use code: NP16PRESS.
ABOUT NET POSITIVE
The Net Positive Energy and Water Conference is dedicated to the exchange of technical expertise, bold strategies and provocative case studies—all aimed at accelerating the global shift toward Net Positive Energy and Water buildings and communities. In the past few years, net positive energy and net zero water projects have gained tremendous momentum. New projects are rapidly emerging to transform the built environment. New regulations and policies are drafted to incentivize Net Zero Energy buildings. With the pressure of the drought in California and the Western United States, it is more important than ever that we collaborate to create communities that are beneficial to their surrounding ecosystems.
We are thrilled to bring the event to downtown San Diego—a walkable urban environment with world-class nature preserves, parks and beaches located near a variety of transit options. Tours of local net zero projects, such as DPR San Diego’s regional headquarters, will highlight local solutions for net positive energy and water in this arid bioregion.
All full conference pass holders will receive a free copy of our newest book, The Power of Zero: Learning from the World’s Leading Net Zero Energy Buildings (a $40 value!).
