PYXERA Global CEO Attends World Environment Center Roundtable
Deirdre White Speaks on the Tasking Business Leaders to Assess and Scale Sustainability Projects for Business Transformation Panel
Washington, DC, September 24, 2015 /3BL Media/ – Deirdre White, CEO of PYXERA Global, will participate in the World Environment Center (WEC) Roundtable today, September 24, 2015 in Washington, DC. The WEC Roundtable will focus on Building Sustainability Knowledge for Business Managers in Emerging Markets: On-the-Ground Initiatives to Meet Company and Societal Needs.
“With the right training and global exposure,” notes White, “business leaders can develop the ability to see value-chain linkages where they did not previously exist. Global pro bono programs like IBM’s Corporate Service Corps and Dow’s Leadership in Action program through its Dow Sustainability Corps are great examples of the types of experiences that enable this level of insight.”
Deirdre White will speak on the Tasking Business Leaders/Teams to Assess and Scale Sustainability Projects for Business Transformation panel with:
- Terry F. Yosie, Moderator, President and CEO, World Environment Center
- Rupert Thomas, Vice President, Environment, Royal Butch Shell
- Lawrence Mason, CEO, Earthwatch Institute USA
- Laurence Chandy, Fellow, Global Economy and Development, Brookings Institution
“Companies often overlook their supply chains as a source of social impact,” said White. “By looking closely at the capabilities of local businesses and the environmental and social effects of their entire value chain, companies can discover previously untapped business growth potential.”
