PYXERA Global Secures Grant of IBM Technology

WASHINGTON, December 16, 2016 /3BLMedia/ – PYXERA Global has earned an Impact Grant from IBM for 2017, giving it data analytics technology designed to help organizations make more informed decisions and be more effective.

A recipient of a similar grant in 2016, PYXERA Global plans to continue using IBM's SPSS Statistics software to help it analyze and evaluate the success of individual PYXERA Global programs, as well as its initiatives in the aggregate.  PYXERA Global will continue using the software for rigorous data analyses of its programs that address agriculture, post-harvest loss, and overall impact of the global pro bono practice area in India.

“Measurement and evaluation for programs like ours is very complex, time consuming, and to be honest, very difficult,” said Deirdre White, CEO of PYXERA Global. “With IBM’s SPSS, we have been able to apply more rigorous analytics and ensure a higher validity of data and results.”

“SPSS allows us to deepen our understanding of the data we already have and reveal new meanings,” said Tanya Gapeka, Director of Monitoring and Evaluation. “This software grant really allows us to be thorough with our measurement and evaluation practices.”

Through SPSS, PYXERA Global created a stronger foundation for measurement and evaluation. This provides validity for programs moving forward and, at times, directional guidance. SPSS allows PYXERA Global to reinforce smart growth strategies and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of its organizational programming.
