Reinforcing Community Partnerships Through a Skills-Based Day of Service
When Citizens set out to hold its first-ever day of skills-based service, it did so with the desire to create lasting impact for its nonprofit partners, deepen those relationships, and uphold its commitment to serving the communities in which it operates.
Citizens tapped on Common Impact, a national leader in skills-based volunteering with two decades of program management experience, to develop and execute an event that would deliver on its goals across three key areas: volunteer programming, internal education, and community impact.
Read on to learn how the day of service engaged 57 Citizens volunteers who collaborated with 10 nonprofits on capacity building projects that resulted in a social return on investment of over $97,000!
